About Us

Established in 2020, the Cashew Council Ghana (CCG) is the cornerstone of Ghana’s thriving cashew industry. As the premier regulatory body, we oversee and nurture the entire cashew value chain, from the roots of production to the fruits of processing and trade.

Our Vision

We envision a Ghana where the cashew sector revolutionizes livelihoods, transforming communities and boosting the national economy. As a non-profit, nationally accredited association, we pledge to:

  • Safeguard and enhance cashew production across Ghana
  • Empower producers with knowledge and resources
  • Champion local processing of cashew and its derivatives
  • Facilitate domestic and international trade in cashew products

Our Mission

To advocate for progressive policy reforms, streamline the cashew sector, and unite farmers, processors, and traders under one robust umbrella, driving unprecedented growth and development in Ghana’s cashew industry.

Our Impact

CCG’s influence spans across Ghana, touching all aspects of the cashew industry:

  • Regulation: We set and maintain standards across the sector, ensuring quality and sustainability.
  • Growth: By promoting cashew cultivation in eight out of ten regions, we’re expanding Ghana’s agricultural footprint.
  • Quality Control: We implement rigorous measures to guarantee only premium cashews reach the market.
  • Value Addition: We’re spearheading initiatives to increase local processing from the current 10%, creating jobs and boosting the economy.

Governance

Led by a diverse 13-member Board of Directors, CCG benefits from the expertise of elected representatives from all facets of the industry. This structure ensures balanced decision-making and strategic direction for the sector’s holistic growth
